A Henry Turney out of North Carolina moved into Tennessee around 1786 or so, and I am trying to find if he had siblings, etc. He ended up not far from my Henry Turney in Smith Co TN. My Turney was originally out of Shenandoah Valley of VA to eastern TN (NC then), 1780s-to about 1803 in Hawkins Co TN, then to Clear Forks in Smith Co TN. The North Carlina Henry Turney was probably the one born in Maryland, then the family moved to NC but I have not found them in NC.....his Rev War pension states he grew up in North Carolina and fought with a unit out of there. So your list is a real clue where I should look....just hope it is Turney and not Turner as they often mixed those up. I also notice the King name, think some of them were early to Kentucky. Could you give me a reference where you found this list? Thank you so much. Mary
