However, I don't see him in the 1910 or 1920 censuses or in the Carteret County marriage records (1913 and before). I am interested in Gibbs and Lewises from Hyde County. Specifically, I'm interested in the origins of Walterman (Waterman) Gibbs, b. 1720-1725, d. in Carteret Co. about 1759. He married Mary Lewis and they had Nathaniel Gibbs (1752-1806), who moved to Beaufort Co.
