    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BVB.2ACI/1008.1 Message Board Post: I checked the article (#290, p. 134) on Daniel Henry Lockhart by Bette Parsons Hartsell in the Heritage of Carteret County, Vol. II, 1983. It refers to only two wives, first Mary Turner and second Prudence Stowe (1816-1654). It names 11 children "born of these two marriages": Nancy Ann, Rebecca, Sidney, Edith, Katherine, Sarah, John, Henry Clay, Ann Mariah, Jane Elizabeth, and Martha. It has information on eight of the children. If the earlier post you mention was from me, I don't know where I got "Patience" from (could have been a slip). I don't have these Lockharts in my family tree and have not researched them. I did, however, know some of the family. Henry Clay, William Clyde and my grandfather, Asa Gaskins, built the first school house in Camp Glenn (formerly Carolina City) in 1907 so there children would have a place nearby to go to school. I went to that school, but not the original building, which until 2002 was home of the Carteret County Historical Society. I can scan the article and send it to you later, if you want. Bob Lewis
