The only reported named children of martin are the ones who lived with nancy in the 1850 census. martin was the son of thomas and rachel chadwick. Thomas was a leader in the revolutionary war. It appears that the children in martins household disappered about the time martin died. all martin's property went to his oldest son named oliver who was by an earlier wife also named nancy. look at your thomas, who could be named for martin's father. Then your thomas' children's names match this family. specifically, James Samuel, Martin and Nancy are clear matches with the martin chadwick group. look for other chadwicks in the area arriving between 1830 to 1850. This may give us a clue. Giles Willis
