    2. I too am realted to Ann Wallace and James Nelson Have you been to the following wevb site? Nelson patchwork I am not at home but I have pulled it up many times just by query using that name only. It has such a complete listing of all the genrations back to 1702. Are you aware there is a big 300 year reunion of the Nelson family in North Carolina in October? There is much going on and well worth going. A book on the family will be printed in time for the reunion. Barbara

James Nelson and Ann Wallace are my 5th great grandparents. My information has a daughter named Sarah Nelson who was married to George Stiron III. Are you aware of Elizabeth having a sister? These people are quite a ways back. Have you had any luck finding documents? This is all my fathers side of the family. I have had little luck on finding paperwork. My mothers side I have been very lucky with documents. Any help would be most appreciated. Sincerely Kimberly

    3. COUNTY QUESTION - do any of your counties have a list kept in the register of deeds that lists all the public cemetaries outside of the incorporated towns, cities and rural districts of the county (which inclues a list of persons in possession and control of said cemetaries)? Does your county commissioners take control of all abondoned public cemetaries in their county (according to NC General Statue 65-3). And if so how did this come about. Did any group or organization do anything to get them to do their job? Has anyone had a case where a tombstone had been removed once the property was obtained by someone else - when the grave itself wasn't removed. Were you able to make the person purchase a new one. Or if the old gravestone was found, did you or were you able to have the individual's stone placed back where it belonged. And if so how did you find was the best way to go about this. Also if tombstones have been located that had been removed from their original site, what did you do about them and/or with them. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciate! Thanks in advance for your help! _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
