As you probably know, there were several "Armecia's" (Nelson, Lawrence) in the Harker's Island vicinity during the 19th century and early 20th century. One of them was my mother, Armecia Lawrence Elliott. I have attempted to verify that this was an actual name brought from some vicinity in England; or, if it is a mis-spelling of America that entered into our family line. What about "Amercia" Willis?
