Found this bunch in Spartanburg - Spartanburg, SC on the 1880 census: 18--BRIDGES, John M. 34 NC Jane 29 NC Pantha 12 " Octavia 8 " Jeffeson V. 5 " Joseph R. 3 " (Could this be Romey J.?) Margaret 1 " What Noma Wike & I have found is that Romie J. Bridges b. 1874 Cleveland Co., NC-1950 Burke Co., NC; wondering who his parents were. Romie was not in Burke Co. at 1880 or 1900 but was in Icard, Burke Co. in 1910 w/wife and kids; then 1920 in Collins, Edgefield, SC and back in Connelly Springs, Burke Co., NC at 1930 Census. Both Romie J. Bridges & wife, Monica Elizabeth Childers buried at Shady Grove UMC Cemetery there as well as a son Ralph 1910-1931. Their dau., Mary Delma Bridges' husband, David Alexander Sipe 1915-1973 is also in same cemetery. Unmarried dau., Versie Eula 1907-1990 buried in Burke Co. in Mountain View Cemetery. Ann K.
