They show up in the Burke County land grants. Here is the grant information for John Fincannon: Ref Grant 2344 Rec 21 Dec 1798 Entered 24 Jun 1798 Frm Bk100;p198 To John Fincannon 100 acres Gunpowder Creek Additionally Peter Fincannon and William Fincannon show up as chain carriers in another grant in March of 1817. Martin Fincannon had a grant prior to 1792. There is another entry for Theodore Adolphus Fincannon in 1905: Deed W2-361 Dat 16 Sep 1905 Frm Jesse H. Howard Executors To T. A. Fincannon and Julia E.
