The May Quarterly Meeting of the Burke County Genealogical Society will be held at the new Burke County Court House Annex on Monday, May 19th at 6:30 PM. Featured speaker, back by popular demand, is Robert Carpenter, Bessemer City resident, who has authored Carpenters A Plenty and The History of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church. A lover of history and genealogy, Robert is a member of thirteen genealogical and historical organizations including Palatines in America and The Lutheran Historical Conference. His programs are always interesting and informational. This meeting is free and open to the public. The evening will conclude with a book swap and a social time with refreshments.
