He maried Susannah and had 8 Kids; Frances "Fanny" (b:abt 1772 Orange Co, NC), Samuel (b:abt 1774 Orange Co, NC), Ransom (b:abt 1775 Orange Co, NC), William (b:abt 1776 Orange Co, NC), Mary "Polly" (b:abt 1778 Orange Co, NC), Elizabeth (b: Jan. 19, 1780 Wake Co, NC), Mordecai JR.(b:1781 Burke Co, NC), Susannah (b:abt 1782 Burke or Orange Co, NC). Note: brith dates are estimated from the census & marrige rec., Elizabeth's I think is off her tomestone, & Mordecai Jr.'s is when & where HE said in his military rec. Sr. also owned land in Burke Co, NC as well as Orange. I would like to have any records from Burke Co that are of Mordecai or his family.
