Several on the list have, over the years, noted that James "Jimmie" ALDRIDGE was b Big Sandy River and that he died about 1842 in Green Brier, Nelson Co., KY. Can anyone be more specific about where on Big Sandy River? Does anyone have a record of birth / death for him? Does anyone have sources that you can share to substantiate birth / death info or clues to same? I have seen this info written in the Avery Co. [NC] Heritage Biographies, Genealogies, & Church Histories series but no sources are provided. I'm wondering if there is a way to substantiate the family lore. Can you help? I have been told (but have yet to substatiate all) that this James "Jimmie" ALDRIDGE was married to / raised families with Deliah BEARD, Sally GRAGG, Margaret MUNCEY, and Elizabeth "Betsy" CALLOWAY I believe I descend from Elizabeth "Betsy" CALLOWAY / ALDRIDGE.
