Eleanor "Nellie" JOHNSON was b 16 Mar 1809 in Newland, Avery Co., NC. Does anyone know who she married and can you provide a source? I have two different husbands noted and am not sure if either one is correct. They are Joseph S. BENFIELD b 20 Aug 1808 in Newland, Avery Co. NC or Byard BENFIELD. Can you help me sort this out?
