I believe that David Julian (or perhaps spelled JULIEN, JULEN, JULIN) was in 1840 Burke Co. NC. However, I can't seem to link up to any of the Burke sites where I could find the 1840 census. Does anyone have access to this census and could do a lookup for me? If there are other Julians in that area, I would also like to know about them. Perhaps David is living near a relative. Betty, I don't have Burke Co. 1840 census either. However, there was a David Julian & wife, Dosha Unk. Julian, who had a dau., Nancy Carolina Julian, b. c. 1824 Burke Co. - c. 1914 Alexander Co., NC. She m. William Fox 1824 Burke Co. - d. 27 May 1862 New Hanover Junction, VA (I would suppose in CW). So far I know of 7 kids of theirs all born in Alexander Co., NC. Perhaps your David Julian was there as he is not listed in the Burke Co., Cemetery Index. My data is "dirty" as years ago, I did not document same. Sorry. Ann K.
