Does anyone know who she married? I am trying to either verify or eliminate Jane Ballew as my ggg grandmother. My ggg grandmother Jane unknown was born bet 1795-1797. She married Joseph Thompson in about 1819, somewhere in NC, probably Burke Co. I have found what I believe to be their family in the Burke Co NC 1830 census. They were living next to a John Ballew and another male Ballew whose name is difficult to decipher (Nicholas?? census index lists it as Archilius???). My Jane unknown moved with her husband and children to TN in around 1838. The earliest verified record I have for this family in TN is a marriage record for one of their daughters Oct 1838 Roane Co TN By 1840 census the family was living in Bradley Co TN, and from there moved to Carroll Co AR (1854) and Christian Co MO (after the Civil War). My ggg grandma Jane died at Green Forest, AR, sometime between 1860 and 1870, and is buried there. Any help with JANE BALLEW b 1795 would be greatly appreciated.

Did your Jane Ballew have a sister Nancy? My ancestor married Nancy Ballew in Roane County about 1840.
