He is a Settlemyer / Settlemire researcher. One of my Settlemire ancestors, Sarah M. Settlemire, married a 'Jackson Dixon' of Burke County, NC. If you read the link that I post, you may find some connection to your Immanuel Jackson Dickson and perhaps why this Dickson family might have left the area.
