    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5UB.2ACI/2728.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Hi again David, I took for granted that you didn't know of a male Walker descendant of Arthur Walker 'still living' when I posted the previous post to you. Please let me know if you know any men who may be alive who are in Arthur's direct line with the surname Walker. It is questionable whether or not a man named James Reuben Walker, son of Col. John Rutherford Walker, ever existed. One Walker gentleman has proved that this person never existed with what seem to be facts, (land grants, dates of death, Felix Walker's autobiography, etc.) He is of the belief that a James Walker, son of Col. John Rutherford Walker and a Reuben/Rubin Walker of the same generation were mixed-up and combined as one person in Walker genealogy. A Walker book has placed this James Reuben Walker in my line several generations back and I would like to help clear this up with DNA testing. W. Ray Walker who has participated in the DNA study and over 30 years researching Walkers says that we who base our Walker genealogy on a James Reuben Walker need to revise our lineage. Our family, of female Walker descent, would like to know where our line fits in with the Burke/McDowell/Rutherford county Walkers. Take care David, Joy
