Isaac OXFORD married Letty HARRINGTON in 1829; they resided in the part of Burke County that became Caldwell County. Who were James OXFORD's wives? I found a marrage bond dated 16 February 1815 to Mary PINNELL. Who were James OXFORD's parents? My theory is that his father was Samuel OXFORD, the Revolutionary War patriot, but I have no proof.
