My main intrest is those Davis families that lived near the presend day Rutherford Co., line in McDowell Co., NC. My John Davis was born abt. 1787 in NC. According to the births of his children his marriage would have been 1807-1811. On the records of McDowell Co., NC he is refered to as John Davis, Sr & John Davis Esq., He had a son living near him that was refered to as John, Jr. John Davis & Mary Davis married Jan 8, 1810 with Thomas Welch and J. Burgin as bondsman John Davis and Ann Keller married 1809 with Jacob Keller and J. Erwin as bondsman John Davis, and Elizabeth Mashburn married Nov 24, 1815 with Thomas Davis and J. Erwin
