I did find an Everette E. Hampton 1879-1957 ( also his wife & a daughter). Also two other Hamptons who have died in recent years, one in the 1980's and the other in 1994. It isn't a common name for our county. Also, you said you have the Burke County books. I would love to have anyone with the surname Grindstaff or Effler. I doubt if Effler is in it, but Grindstaff may be. I appreciate your offer. Anita
