I would like to add that I've located William Jones and wife Nancy Teaque in the 1880 Census for Hico, Benton, Arkansas. They have added several more children to their family - too many to list here. I also would like to add some detail regarding the Henry Rhodes mentioned in your post. Henry Rhodes was born about 1795 in North Carolina. His only known wife - Mary Ann Hollingsworth - was born about 1797 in North Carolina. I have a copy of their youngest son's death certificate (William M. Rhodes) who died in Christian County Missouri in 1934. It states that his mother's maiden name was 'Mary Hollingsworth'. Henry and Mary Ann Hollingsworth Rhodes arrived in Georgia about 1841-1842 where they likely remained for the rest of their lives. Henry last appears on the 1870 Union County GA census and Mary Ann on the 1880 Union County GA census Children were: Elizabeth 1822-1863 (Married 1.unkown Jones and 2. Ezekiel Gribble) May be 'Margaret Elizabeth' Wesley 1823-after 1880 (Married Caroline Stewart) Wilma Emaline Rhodes 1833-after 1880 (Married Pinkney Odom) George Rhodes 1835-after 1870 (Married Louretta Jane ??) James T Rhodes 1841-1864 (Married Camilia Odom - Said to have died as a Confederate private in a Union prison camp near Chicago.) William M. 1843-1934 (Married 1. Sarah Odom and 2. Camilia Odom. All of these children except William were born in North Carolina. William was born in Georgia. And one more 'probable' daughter Carolina Rhodes 1825-1926 (Married George Odom). We know that the Caroline Rhodes who married George W. Odom is buried at Odom Chapel Cemetery in Graham County, NC. We just haven't proven that she is Henry and Mary Ann's daughter. It seems likely that she is. As the Rhodes and Odom families are clustered around each other in Union County Georgia and two Rhodes brothers of this generation married two Odom Daughters as shown above. It seems that by 1890 most of this family had left North Georgia. Some went back to SW North Carolina and many ended up in Southwest Missouri/Northern Arkansas/Eastern Oklahoma. I can document at least 300 descendents of Henry Rhodes and Mary Ann Hollingsworth. What I can't do, yet, is find their ancesters! Any information/clues gladly accepted and I'm glad to share what I know. Here's a link to my current decendent registry for Henry Rhodes and Mary Ann Hollingsworth descendants. http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=REG&db=bateschastain&id=P2599915217 Greg Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
