He signed a will on 13 Sep 1871 in Burke County, North Carolina and died there on 3 Feb 1872. He was buried at Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery. He married Fannie Safronia HOUCK (1792-1849) on 15 Oct 1815 in Burke County She was a daughter of George Henry HOUK and Barbara HOLLOWAY. They had: +2 i. Elizabeth WILSON (born on 10 Nov 1816). +3 ii. Abraham WILSON (born on 2 Feb 1819). +4 iii. John Wesley WILSON (born on 1 Mar 1823). +5 iv. Mary WILSON (born on 3 Dec 1826). +6 v. Sarah "Sallie" WILSON (born on 11 Sep 1828). +7 vi. Mariah WILSON (born on 2 Oct 1830). +8 vii. Rebecca WILSON (born on 8 Dec 1832). +9 viii. Manilea\Manika WILSON (born on 9 Jan 1839). +10 ix. Leander WILSON (born on 1 Jan 1836). 11 x. Rachel Harriet WILSON was born on 12 Dec 1848 in Burke County, North Carolina and died on 8 Jun 1928. After Fanny's death, (1849>) John Wesley WILSON Sr. and Hannah (unk) were married.
