I had tried to respond but kept running into trouble on my end for a day or two with my Internet connection. Needless to say it was frustrating. Now I'm up and running again - I hope. I saw where Harold was listed as buried in the same graveyard as Elvie - I found her but was unable to find him today when I went. Your information was pretty detailed so I'll plan to look again for him. Any info you run across would be greatly appreciated. So Harold Dean had a daughter Teresa?? How did you find out about her? I couldn't find a record of her birth but I did find Harold Dean Jr and Timothy's birth. Thank you again, Derick !!! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have found out since that post that the Duckworth was an error. (Somebody decended from him married a Duckworth later.)I was in my California home trying to do this from memory. now I'm back in my other home in Hickory, NC with my old notes from my grandparents. I have found great info on "Renus" (my great grandfather's identical twin) and Rev.Pickney at the Hickory library. I would love to have church photos, especially if it is a building that doesn't exist anymore. Pinkney is my gg grandfather. I am through Socrates Alonzo "Lon", the twin of "Renus", and his son William Alexander (my grandfather), then my mother Frances Whitener. My uncle is artist Paul Whitener who founded the Hickory Museum of Art. I would also be interested in something on the Brendle family. Haven't found anything yet. 3. According to the NC Birth Index, it appears that Harold and Pearl Gragg Daniels have living children that were born in Avery Co., NC in the late 1930's to 1940's. Have you posted to the Avery Co. board for connections to this family? According to the NC death index, Pearl Estelle Gragg Daniels was born 11 March 1915 in West Virginia. She died 19 Feb. 2004 in Linville, Avery Co., NC. at the age of 88 years. Father's last name: Gragg. The only connection I have found on a Pearl Gragg to Walter and Bertha Hughes Gragg is the 1930 Linville, Avery Co., NC Census. Pearl's name is shown as Pear at age 15. Also in the home is Paul Gragg, age 10. Tamara G Suttle <tgsuttle@msn.com> wrote: Thank you, Vicki! This may be the same family but I haven't been able to make a positive connection yet.
