Hugh Harrel many spellings and an Enoch Harrelll. Enoch was born around 1800 and married a Carver. He lived right next door to Hugh in the 1820 Burke Co Census and a little below Enoch was James. I have researched and think it is a great possibilty that Hugh is the father of Enoch and James etc, and it is possible that Enoch was a middle name. Enoch moved to Carter co TN by 1840 and then Washington co by 1850. His wife was Rossanah/Rosina Carver from Carter TN. Any info that might link them would be great. Thank you

Surnames: pitts arney williams carpenter Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/5UB.2ACI/2667 Message Board Post: Hi, I ordered the Burke Co. Heritage book Vol. II several months ago and have not yet received it (so please pardon me if this question is answered within its pages) - however, I was able to browse and photocopy a couple of pages of the book at the library in Raleigh. In it, I found a writeup of my great great great grandmother Sarah Pitts Arney and another of her parents, John and Sarah Rogers Pitts. Mrs. Arney's writeup mentions her children, and goes into much greater detail on some of the children than others. That's to be expected. However, the writers may, even though they didn't include it in the article, have a little more information that may well solve one of my brick wall mysteries. They are listed as being Peggy N. Carlson and E. Carl Anderson, Jr. How recent are the submissions in these books? As Vol. II is fairly new, I'm assuming those submissions are maybe a couple of years old. Does the historical society maintain the contact information for any of these individual contributors? Do they provide it or pass on queries? For that matter, does anyone in the historical society have an email address or any means of contact other than the P.O. Box? Thank you very much! -Paula Williams Richmond VA
