    3. Melba, Granted the majority of my books don't cover material more recent than early to mid 1800s but I cannot find the name Corsbie anywhere in South Carolina. I have checked 56 books to no avail including the entire set of SCMR, all the marriage books (29), census records and a lot of others. I'll look for him in the paid subscriptions. FamilySearch: Hance and Ann were both born in County, Ireland, Ann was the daughter of Isaiah McDill, Hance died in Guilford County, NC in 1809. Hance Corsbie/Corsby was born 08 Oct 1794, Guilford, North Carolina, M. Hanna Duncan and died 17 Feb. 1854. Genealogy Library: Hance and Ann had 2 daughters: Ann (1761-1802) m. James Job (1745-1802) and Elizabeth (1756-1800) m. Thomas Finley/Findley (1735-1799). OneGreatFamily: lots on Ann and James Jobe and their 11 children. All websites say that Hance and Ann were married in County Down, Ireland I don't have the Guilford County Heritage book so you might want to search the Guilford County, NC website archives. George Thomas Frazier was not in the Highland Scots book. Dee All lookup requests will be permanently archived on the Bladen County Genweb site. Is there any information about him in the book, the Highland Scots of North Carolina? He would be my fifth-great grandfather. also, no. 122 and 123 Is there any information about Hance Corsbie who married Ann McDill? They were married about 1860 or before. They were both born in Ireland and we think they married after they came to South Carolina, but don't know for sure. They lived in Charleston, S.C. They are my fourth great-grandparents. Thanks. Melba Mendenhall Akason, Oskaloosa, IA.
