Yes it looks just like it did. Looking at the picture to the right and back is actually a separate building that was the jail. Supposedly Jail house creek starts under where that building was and I think is the small creek that runs behind my mothers. As a child I worried about escappees floating down the creek to my house. I can remember the old trees being a gathering place for the men when they came to town on Saturday. Butch Butler do you remember this? You may be too young. Kay
LOL............you flatter me........yes, I remember it well........off to the left of this photo was a large black marble memorial to the verterans of Bladen County with their names in gold letters. Across the street to the right was my Uncle Virt Butler's Cafe and the feed & seed store.....ahhh, those memories.
