Then go step by step back in your search, looking at cementery and census records and other things. I saw the Cottle name as a purchaser on a Duplin Co. estate sale (not a Cottle) for someone in mid-1800s, so they are there at least that far back. Good luck. Sarah

    3. Hello List, and Hi Dee! Just curious. How many family articles are in the Bladen Co. Heritage book? Any rough guess? I see that our friend Sam West is challenging other County book committees.
