Helen, That person is full of it. I checked out the sites that you recommended and they could be very helpful to someone. Unfortunately, I didn't find any of my people, but then that's not unusual. I did find some very useful background material on Halifax county. The sites are worth bookmarking until some Bladen materials are posted. In the meantime, just ignore the comments of such old grouches and keep posting.
