Hi Leta and Alice, This would be in the 1790 tax records for Hertford County which I don't have. I imagine that they are online on the Hertford County website. You could also track the land with wills, probates, etc. Unfortunately the Hertford County Courthouse burned in both 1832 and 1862 so records are scarce. I do not find a will for John Boon in Hertford in the abstract form nor a listing in the NC Testator;s Index. I;m sorry that I couldn't help.
