    3. Laughing? - I haven't even smiled yet! This one I'm afraid will have to be done at the Georgia Archives or the Atlanta History Center. I can't find a John in the Taxpayers books in Caswell County and I can't find a Hardigree at all. The Cameron book that you referred to was a great idea except it starts with the arrival of Allen Cameron , his wife Mary and their three sons Archie, Dougald and James and their arrival in Wilmington (from Auchternchity, Scotland) in 1791. Nothing in the Orange County book though that was a good idea. And nothing in Bladen, Granville and Johnston. Testator's Index doesn't have a single Hardigree listed for the entire state. I just found an early Bladen County deed that is indexed as James and his wife Mary, plus Margaret Mackay, all of Cumberland County (sellers) but is signed as John Cameron, Mary Cameron and Margaret McKay. This deed is witnessed by John, Jr. (1771). In the meantime these people are also researching the Cameron family. I am interested in John Cameron who was born about 1750; who lived in Caswell Co. NC in 1780s and 1790s; had daughter Martha (Patsy) who married Jonathan Hardigree in 1797; had son John Cameron, Jr. and others unknown names. He moved about 1800 to Georgia; his daughter and son die in Clarke Co. Ga. and he remarries Mary Roscoe in Pike Co. Ga. in 1832. He died in Pike Co. Ga. in 1834. His will implies that he survived all of his children and of course his first wife. I would appreciate a look up in Your Source No. 114 on the Cameron Family. and also maybe Source No. 151 which is Orange Co. I would like the names of his parents and the names of his children and the name of his first wife. I hope you are not dying of laughter at this point!! I don't want much do I? Still searching, Elaine
