SUTTON AND CORNELIA MULFORD SUTTON BIBLE (your Martin's younger brother) >From # 1 WILIE ALFORD ATKINSON BIBLE (your Martin's aunts' husband, - two of them) Note: none of the family Bibles lists any form of the name Martin. >From # 50 I have the Wills of the following (let me know if you want any of them): John Sutton, September 30, 1806 Margaret Sutton (widow of John Sutton), July 27, 1822 Sarah Sutton, Sr., March 12, 1823 William Sutton, October 9, 1804 William Sutton, January 28, 1841 I can't help but think that the marriage license you have listing 1850 as the date of Martin's marriage is misread or miswritten. He was definitely gone from Bladen by 1870 census. Britt is such a familiar name in Bladen that I tried to find some mention of any of the Britts traveling West - thinking that Martin's wife may have been a Bladen neighbor even though they were married in Columbia County, AR. No luck.
