Her name was Winiford [Winifred?] BAREFIELD born NC ca 1800 living in household with two daughters, Anna Jane and Civil Sarah at the time of the Baker Co., GA census of 1850. Winiford was head of that household. Both her known daughters married sons of Gibson WEST. Winiford and girls lived next door to Gibson 1850. Fran fpowellsr@starpower.net >> Fran, That is interesting---I have a Winifred Barfield born in NC June 7, 1830, daughter of Maben Barfield. He moved to Texas about 1850---think the whole bunch came at the same time. My Winifred married Samuel Hall and had only her sister, unmarried sister, Ann, living with her and husband. Barbara Jo

    3. There has to be a connection! In 1800's how many females were named Winiford/Winifred BARFIELD/BAREFIELD? Sounds like, from the ages of each Winifred they were a generation apart. Where did your Winifred live? Bladen? What body of water if any? Thanks for writing.
