Hi Fran, Robt. Butler b. bef. 1703 and wife Anne Wood had among others a son, Charles Butler b. 1746. He married Elizabeth J. Porter. They had among others Charles Butler b. 1776 Duplin Co., NC; d. 1852 in Dublin, Laurens Co., GA. This last Charles married Mary Elizabeth Cooper in Duplin ca. 1796. She also d. in Laurens Co., GA. Butch, thank you for this BUTLER information. It seems to me that Parris BUTLER just one day dropped from the skies and landed in Baker Co., GA and the next year he was gone and I have not found him since! As a possible note of interest, Parris' several close neighbors were from Sampson Co., NC. Thanks for the info.
