Gabriel list his brother Travis Butler in his will and they are sons of Major Robert Butler, who died in 1802. John Rosser list John Nathan Williams as born 14 July 1799 and died 8 March 1870. Jerome, I have Gabriel Butler as having been b. 1768 and as the son of Robert Butler (1725-1802). I doubt that Delilah Rhodes Royal could have been his mother, as I have her birth in 1758 and she would have only been 10 years old at his birth. I have indications that Robert was married before Delilah and that the first wife was named Margaret. Do you have anything on this? If this is old news, please forgive me, but I'm just now working these lines for the first time.
