Dee: Greetings from Juneau, Alaska. This is my first time. I am trying to find the parents of my grandfather Daniel James Cashwell born May 15, 1862. He married Dovie Jane Baxley. They live in Robeson County and buried at Great Marsh Baptist Church. But every time I try finding his birth place I end up finding Cashwells in Bladen, but no birth place for him. Elizabeth, I have checked everything I have and I have no idea where he came from. I even tried the archives for him and still nothing. Since the Legislature has ordered the removal of all family files (vertical or standing files) it makes it very difficult to find wonderful things there. I'm so very sorry.
