I have attempted for three years or more to identify the parents of my gggrandfather, Samuel Jenkins Taylor, who was born in Robeson County, NC, in 1823. Thompson b Dec 25, 1850 d June 1916 last name was spelled Tompson on the death certificate. He had a brother named Gaston.Their father was named William H. Thompson.
