He was married twice, his second wife was Lydia (unknown). He lived in Stokes County, NC. (Remember that Forsyth County was formed from Stokes County in 1849). His daughter Paulina was born in Stokes County, NC in 1838, and died in 1888 in Forsyth County, NC. In 1858, in Forsyth County, NC, she married Thomas Ketner. The Ancestor File for William Brandon is File # 60755 in the State Archives in Raleigh.
