Hi Y'all, Since I am down to four e-mail lookups and seven Georgia Archives lookups I'm rewarding myself. I have three very interesting books that aren't on the bibliography list. They are the "Index of North Carolina Ancestors (volumes I and II)" and a strange one that may be fabulous, "Migrations Actual and Implied Volume One". The ancestors books might give you a name, date of birth, place of birth, county of birth, date of death, place of death, county of death, county where they lived, date of marriage, place of marriage, county of marriage, name of spouse, and the code number of the ancestor file in the North Carolina State Archives. A large number of the entries don't have any counties listed. EXAMPLES Charles Baldwin was born in 1787 in Bladen County, NC. He died in 1848 in Columbus County, NC. He married c1810 Amelia Kelly in Bladen County, NC. Ancestor File # 60403. Josiah Lewis was born in 1728 in Craven County, NC. He died c1808 in Bladen County, NC. He married Ann Mullington in 1750 in New Hanover County, NC. They lived in New Hanover County, NC. Ancestor File # 12090. The migration book shows a probable intention of moving into, out of and within the state of North Carolina. EXAMPLES Guilford County, N.C. Deed Book 1 (1771-1784) p. 222 - 15 November 1773 John Underhill and wife, Hannah, to Benjamin Coffin of Nantuckett County, Massachusetts (taylor), now residing in Guilford County - 140 acres on Polecat Creek. p. 227 - 7 December 1773 William Triplett and wife, Eleanor, to Samuel Cobaen of York County, Pennsylvania - 100 acres in Guilford County. p. 245 - 24 September 1772 John Cheedle of Goochland County, Virginia to John Stewart of Guilford - 440 acres in Guilford County on Wolf Branch of Deep River. p. 405 - 26 July 1777 John Buster to Hugh Challes of Pittsylvania County, Virginia - 420 acres on Wolf Island Creek .
