No, Lura, I did not write to you directly. Some other person must have written you. I don't know anything about Abraham Herring and his family, but I believe Abraham Herring was a white man based on these items. He had a will and a son that was orphaned and the court assigned someone to care for his son and watch over his estate. I am not related to the Carroll family.
