There is a Cooper and Violet Jones in Nash County, NC with a daughter Penelope Jones. My ancestor Penelope Jones born abt 1770 came to Louisiana abt1800. I have no other info on my ancestor except she married John Lanier. Pls check # 458 to see if there is a marriage record. Also, did you receive my message of Aug. 10, 2007? Here is a copy below. Number 859 James Lea of Country Line Creek (d. in Caswell Co., N.C. in 1792] The original will of James Lea, dated March 28, 1771, is in the Department of Archives & History, Raleigh, N.C., filed "Caswell County Estate Papers, 1776-1864, Vol. I, page 59, Folio 1. JAMES LEA." In this will he names wife Ann Lea. Sons William Lea, John Lea and Major Lea are appointed executors. 2. Execution of will of James Lea proved by testimony of William Lea. [prob. his brother] My note DAD 8/10/07 to Dee: Are others named besides the 3 sons? I'm not sure if he died in 1792, so dates are important. His wife Ann could be Ann Bankston dau. of Lawrence Bankston b. 1704. Some say James Lea has a dau. Isabella Lea who married John Graves. Isabella Lea Bankston that you mentioned is the gr. granddaughter of Lawrence Bankston, b. 1704. Is Ann Lea, wife of James Lea in No. 859. Thanks Don Dunnington
