    3. SPECIAL BULLETIN GRAVE SITE MARKER DEDICATION SERVICE FOR WILLIAM PRIDGEN, REVOLUTIONARY WAR SOLDIER 1732-1855 NC MILITIA - CONTINENTAL LINE THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 23RD, 2007. The grave site of William Pridgen, Revolutionary War Soldier, is scheduled to be marked by the "le Marguis de Lafayette" Chapter of the North Carolina Society of the Sons of the American Revolution at noon, Saturday June 23rd, 2007 at his last resting place in the Johnson family Cemetery near Jasper Richardson Trl in rural Bladen County. William Pridgen was born in Duplin County on January 27th, 1732, and lived there at enlistment. He served three tours of duty during the course of the Revolutionary War, which took him to Wilmington, Fort Johnston, Fayetteville, and Newbern, NC, and on to near Georgetown and Cheraw Hills, S.C. During his first tour of duty he was a participant of the famous Battle of Moores Creek Bridge. After the war he resided in Duplin and Brunswick counties, and then in his aging years he lived with a daughter Elizabeth, widow of Richard Johnson in Bladen County, North Carolina where he later died and was buried in the Johnson family cemetery. Agenda: 1. Remarks by the S. A. R. President. 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Prayer by the S. A. R. Chaplin. 4. Brief history of Patriot's War service. 5. Closing Prayer. 6. Taps. The public, all S.A.R. and D.A.R. Chapters are invited to attend this memorial ceremony! After the ceremony, there will be a mini family reunion at the Picnic area at Moores Creek National Battlefield Park [the place where William Pridgen \ was a participant in the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge]. Driving directions: >From Elizabethtown take Hwy 701 North - cross Cape Fear River, pass Hwy 53, White Lake, and Hwy 41 - continue north towards Clinton - turn left onto Johnstontown Road (Hwy 1509) - go about 5.6 miles and turn right onto Jasper Richardson Trl (dirt road)- go 6.10 of a mile and a trail will be on your left.
