We will be placing a CSA marker for William Dallas King (1846-1927) on Saturday morning (6/30) at 8:30 at the Dal King cemetery near Dublin, NC. Leaving Hwy 87 from Dublin, NC, you turn left onto Reedy Meadow Road. About 1 mile down this road, you turn right onto a large dirt road. Drive past several residences on this dirt road and the cemetery is located off to your right in a large field. Dal enlisted in 2nd Company K, 40th Regiment North Carolina Troops (3rd Regiment NC Artillery), on 24 February, 1864 for the Civil War. He was mustered in as a Private and appointed Musician from May-June 1864. His brother, James William King, and his first cousin George B. King served in the same Company with him. James W. King (1842-1907) is buried in the Allen cemetery and we have ordered a marker for him. George B. King died in Leon County, Texas in 1899. http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncbladen/pictures/ancestors/king/wdking.htm Jason
