I have updated my information on Josiah Sykes Jr., a possible son-in-law of William Pridgen. We placed a Revolutionary War marker for Josiah Sykes Jr. in the Luke Sykes cemetery several months ago. If anyone would like a photo of this marker, please let me know. http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncbladen/reports/descendents/sykes.josiah.pdf Jason ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sam West" <sam.west.1@gmail.com> To: <ncbladen@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 22, 2007 5:06 PM Subject: [NCBLADEN] revolutionary war ceremony > SPECIAL BULLETIN > > GRAVE SITE MARKER DEDICATION SERVICE > > FOR > > WILLIAM PRIDGEN, REVOLUTIONARY WAR SOLDIER > > 1732-1855 > > NC MILITIA - CONTINENTAL LINE > > THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 23RD, 2007. > > The grave site of William Pridgen, Revolutionary War Soldier, is scheduled > to be marked by the "le Marguis de Lafayette" Chapter of the North > Carolina > Society of the Sons of the American Revolution at noon, Saturday June > 23rd, > 2007 at his last resting place in the Johnson family Cemetery near Jasper > Richardson Trl in rural Bladen County. > > William Pridgen was born in Duplin County on January 27th, 1732, and lived > there at enlistment.
