I have been trying to find proof that Levi b. 1807,William b. 1801, Samuel b. 1802,Thomas, and Dowey born 1815 were all brothers. I know for fact that Thomas is his brother. I am not related to that John Benson.One of Francis' daughters by his 2nd wife Margaret Ann Daniel-Fariby C marries James Canada Dowless(a cousin on my husbands' mother side). I have John M Benson b 3 Jan 1840 and died 1927. he served in the Confederate Army married Ann Elizabeth Clark. 1870 NC Bladen Co. Carvers Creek Has him as 30 years old with L. J. Benson 18 f in household. 1880 NC Census Bladen County Elizabethtown has him 40 occupation Register of Deeds with wife Ann E age 26 and then 2 of his sisters and niece and 2 nephews.
