    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HSB.2ACE/1655 Message Board Post: Seeking info on James Cook. He had at least one son, John Cook, born 1813 NC. From this known info..I have made the following assumptions....and can use any help I can get. James is thought to have ben born between 1770 and 1780 possibly in Bladen county...James was still living in 1834 because his son John married that year, in KY. I would like to hear from anyone who can shed light on this family. Such as who James wife was and any other children, etc. etc.

    2. Jim Cooke
    3. James was a very common name for the COOKs. Another problem is in the 18th century, there were two COOK families in Dublin and Sampson Counties, NC that I have not been able to connect. However, I have data on a James Cook that may fit. 1. James Cook, Jr. (abt 1770-aft 1802) + ?? 2. Son?? Cook + Christain (1815 NC-??) 3. M.T. 3. Flora 3. Narcisa 3. McNorton 3. L. 2. Young Braswell Cook (2/25/1802 Bladen (now Columbus) County, NC-9/2/1869 Columbus County, NC) (more on my webpage) Maybe there was another son? See the genealogy link on my web page at http://cookes.us .
