Surnames: Sikes/Sykes, Beatty, Innes' Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HSB.2ACE/1610 Message Board Post: Looking for parents of Beatty Sikes/Sykes, b. abt 1782, he and his wife Mary ?show up in Bladen Co., Sampson Co., and finally in 1870 Cedar Ck.Twp., Cumberland Co., NC living with daughter Darcas Melvin, widow of Arthur Melvin. I believe he is descendent from William Henry Beatty b. abt. 1769 Irland and d. 1853 in Plesant River, Bladen Co., NC. The Beatty's and Sikes' where always living close to each other in early census', New Hanover, Bladen, Sampson Ect. I am thinking his father could of married a daughter of William Henry Beatty, does anyone have any info. on who William Henry's daughters married. These Sikes' and Beatty's where also living close to Innes' who married into this line of Sikes'. Thanks for any help on this line, Helen Ennis Williams
