I am researching my family history and I have been able to trace my great grandfather, Lucien Beatty, being born a slave on the old GIBBS Plantation, around 1852/1853. I f you have any records with the slave first names between the years of 1850 through 1868, it would be greatly appreciated and would help me in researching my family heritage and history.
