Hi Lynn, I have a copy of the original John Butler will that he made in 1875 and will tell you what I see but that does not make it right. It is just my interpretation. His first wife was Frances Ann Nance and is not mentioned in the will. Children of John Butler and Frances Ann Nance: 1. Mary Ann Butler - Wife of Daniel Johnson 2. James A. Butler - deceased 3. Hi, Margie, Thank you for sending me the other info re John BUTLER. Another descendant, Butch BUTLER has also responded to my query. He is related to me thru the marriage of my 2x great-aunt, Elizabeth GAINOR JOHNSON to said John BUTLER. Isn't it amazing how one question can locate new cousins? I love it! My Uncle Nash ODOM is the family historian, and all we know is that she is the d/o Henry DAVIS, and sister of Elias DAVIS. Her mother was Mary, but Nash doesn't know Mary's surname.
