By 1790 there were three Tedder families there Jesse, Thomas, and William. It is my firm belief that Thomas and Winnie Tedder were the parents and that all Tedder families in Cumberland Co, at that time were connected. Jesse possibly being the parent of Thomas and William. Sion left Cumberland abt 1820 and by 1830 his family and Elijah's family were in Montgomery Co., AL. Thomas died in Cumberland Co. in 1800 and it appears that Winney raised the children with the help of son John who in later years married Sarah McKethan. John died without issue in Cumberland Co. The daughters of Thomas and Winney, and siblings of Sion, Elijah, John, and possibly William, were (I believe): Mary married Neil Thompson March 28 1809; Winifred married John Campbell Mar 20, 1810; Easter Tedder married Absolem Strickland May 3, 1811; Tempey married Samuel Parker Jan 26, Sarah P. married Uriah Dickens Apr 13, 1825. I have not been able to find any of the daughters and their families. I am sorry for so much detail; and I don't know which book to ask you to look in, but I would appreciate any help you can give me.
