Hi Josette, You did not mention which Maxwell you are searching for. I did not find any Maxwells in Anson Deeds but there is a 1785 Will for Robert Maxwell filed in Mecklenburg County (formed from Anson in 1762), some mentions of the Maxwells in the Mecklenburg County Heritage book which I cannot check without a name, and a few marriage records.
