Dee This is what I have so far. John S. Herring, born about 1825 either in Cumberland Co. or Sampson Co., NC died after 1890--do not know where. (have been told he was in Rev. War) Married Nov. 16, 1849, Cumberland Co., NC to: Susannah Harrison Grice born Nov.13, 1825 Cumberland Co., NC, died about 1880--do not know where. Children: 11 total Amanda Kaziah Herring born 27 Oct. 1850 James Nathanial Herring born 11 Oct. 1851 Elizabeth J. born about 1853 William born about 1854 Susan C. born 27 May 1855 Gibson S. born 1857 Nancy A. born 9 Feb. 1861 Thomas born 1863 John S., Jr. born 1865 Sarah Anne born 1 Feb. 1866 Maria (Nancy) born 1868 I would like to know if John was in Rev.War if so where and who he served under. Where he and his wife Susannah are buried. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
